The Backstreet Boys are extending their Las Vegas residency at the Sphere, announcing seven new performances after fans quickly sold out the initial run of 21 shows.
“OH MY GOD, WE’RE BACK AGAIN!” the group posted on X, quoting their hit song “Everybody (Backstreet’s Back).” “We know we said we were done for this year, but that was before you guys sold out 21 nights.”
“We worked hard to get some more shows scheduled to make sure everyone who wants to see the show can come to Vegas,” the statement continued. “We are excited to announce the addition of 7 ‘Into The Millennium’ residency dates.”
The new shows are set for Dec. 26 through Dec. 31, and Jan. 2 and 3, positioning the additional dates right in the middle of the holiday season.
The residency, titled Into the Millennium, heavily leans into nostalgia and utilizes the Sphere’s cutting-edge technology. The concert follows a futuristic spaceship theme, a tribute to the group’s 1999 blockbuster album Millennium. Band members Nick Carter, Kevin Richardson, Brian Littrell, Howie Dorough and AJ McLean perform a mix of fan favorites, blending energetic pop hits with emotional ballads.
The stage design includes twin catwalks that extend into the audience, allowing the performers to interact with fans while maintaining the group’s signature choreography.
The Backstreet Boys are the first pop act to headline the Sphere, following performances by U2, the Eagles, Dead & Company, Phish and Kenny Chesney. The residency opened July 11, 2025, and its extension points to a strong reception.
