A pedestrian was struck and killed by a Brightline train on Friday in Wynwood, authorities said.
The incident occurred at the intersection of Northeast 1st Avenue and 29th Street. The victim was taken to Ryder Trauma Center, where he was later pronounced dead, according to Miami Police.
The victim’s identity has not been released. Police confirmed that railroad crossing lights and gates were functioning at the time of the crash.
